Hello Titans! We started this message board in an effort to allow comments, news, questions and answers, and communications among our class members. Don't be afraid to use it. Go Titans!

Hey Lar! How about if we ask the alumni to let us know what their favorite song was during high school or while growing up? Then we could add it to the goodies we'll play at the reunion. Ya like how I use the term "we", when you're the one who's doing all the work burning the CD's? Typical woman! LOL!

Hey all you 1971 classmates out there, who would you like to see at the reunion in April? I'd like to see Michelle Betts, Corinne Jannson and Mike Ebel. So many people asked me about Mike at the last reunion I got tired of answering we weren't an item in High School. I have his phone number and have talked to him but he's hesitant to come to the reunion. I'll keep working on him. If anyone else wants to see any of these people, let me know so I can pass the message on to them. Thanks, Patti Brown-Ward

Patti, really a great idea about asking for favorite songs to play at the reunion. In fact, there should also be a short answer survey at www.classmates.com. Ditto on who we'd like to see at the reunion. Right now, there's one asking: "If possible, would anyone like to invite ex-teachers, faculty, etc. to the reunion?" Something like that anyway. That idea is from Toni Rothacher Tomlinson. You mean... you and Mike E. weren't an item back then? Uh oh... I'll try to keep my mouth shut. ;D I'm still working on getting the music up. Is anyone having problems with it so far? I was at my daughter's this weekend and they have an Apple - the music worked fine.

You're right Doug... life is too short to not enjoy it everyday. Did ya'll hear Doug? I think his message was clear - we want to see EVERY 71 Titan at the Reunion in April! I think he put a lot of emphasis on EVERY. I remember Doug kickin' butt in leading the Marina cheer at our 30-year, so I know he means business. (Sorry Bob, you were good competition but Doug out-yelled you.) Hard to believe it's less than 6 months to go now. Let's see... if I lost x pounds per month...

Wow! I'm impressed with what is on this website. Very sad when one sees classmates that have passed away... First time reading the "message board" and I like it! I have only been to one re-union (20th) and had a great time...I'm really looking forward to this one. Thanks in advance to Larry, Liz and Patti and whoever else should be thanked...if it weren't for all of you, old friends, great memories would be lost...I know! Can't wait to see everyone...and I hope Mike Ebel does come to the re-union...for that matter, I hope everyone does...don't let "what you look like keep you away or whatever is happening in your life that is sad keep you away"....old friends will bring laughter and that is what life is about. I did not go to the 35th only due to persoanl issues and looking back I truly believe seeing old friends would have made me feel great! Looking forward to the 29th!

Hey y'all, I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone next month. The time has flown by since our 30 year reunion. It was the first I had attended, and I had a blast!! My thanks to Lori Gomez for dragging there. I sure won't need any body pushing or prodding me this time!
First, I want to say Thank You to Larry Brion for all his hard work on this terrific site. We received an email from a ’76 graduate of Marina asking if he could copy our site for their reunion, because it was so much better than the one they had put together. Go Lar! You’re The Man!!
Now then… George Lang started a ‘Remember When’ list, and we want everyone to add their memories, so… step into your ‘Wayback’ machine, dust the cobwebs from your grey matter memory bank and tell us what you remember from the good ‘ol days.
I remember: Buying penny candy at the Five and Dime on the site that is now Porkys Pizza. When there were actual greenhouses on the site that is now The Greenhouse Shopping Center. Large cheese pizza for $1.00 on Wednesdays at Porkeys. Sticky buns and OJ in the cafeteria before school.
Trigger any memories for you? Well, tell us about them!
See y’all on the 29th!!!!
Toni

;DOops… I forgot a major ‘Remember When’. In fact, there’s been a lot of discussion, (and disagreement), within the committee on this issue. The gas leak!!! Some remember it closing the school for only one day, others remember the school closing an entire week. Some say there were 2 gas leaks. We’d like everyone to chime in on this one!! What do you remember about the gas leak? Also, what do you remember doing during your time off? I managed to get myself arrested!! Kids… waddaya gonna do?
