This hurts. I haven't seen or talked to David in roughly 25 years, but prior to that we were pretty tight. I always thought that along the way we would meet up and share some old memories. There are so many. We pal-ed around and misbehaved all thru high school and for several years after. Somehow we found ourselves in some of the craziest situations and walked away unscathed. I'll really miss the opportunity to laugh and share tales of youthful ignorance with one of the best wise crackers of all time.

Helen, thank you very much for posting the announcement. It's such a sad thing when we lose another classmate. I remember Dave as quiet, but funny. Definitely a good guy. I got your email about Dave about a week after you sent it. I will have to change my contact info to my newest email address. larrybrion@gmail.com I will write you an email back today. John, I remember you two as friends. I think I saw you guys at the S.F. Zoo, or maybe Santa Cruz, probably doing what I was doing... looking for trouble. Cap'n, you are right. We are losing too many. I will update the In Memory page soon. Not a fun thing to do.

I just heard that Dave's memorial service is at his parent's house in San Leandro....1698 Lanier? (better check the phone book before you knock on the front door).
Kinda short notice, but its this Sat, July 26, from 2 to 6pm.

:(Hey Bart,
I can't believe David is gone. My mom called to tell me. Do you remember Suzie? Well, my girlfriend was shopping at Ethan Allen the other day and she ran into her there. Suzie is a sales person there. It was strange to hear about her after just hearing about David. Well, I hope you are doing great. I am fine, living in Indiana, it is strange being in the middle of America.
Take care,
Kathy

Dave Schweska and I remained friends up until a couple of years ago. I had lived in Denver from 1987-1991 and then again from 2000-2007. During the first period, he and I and his good friend Christine were like the 3 Muskateers. Dave was at my wedding, was one of the first to see my daughter after she was born. The 2nd period I lived there, I knew he was struggling in many ways and I couldn't get him to respond to my repeated calls & emails. I was so sad to learn about his passing, but I must say I was not completely surprised. He was somewhat of a lost soul at the end. But damn...could he make me laugh.
